tahini with beets, cilantro and roasted red bell pepper

Not so classic Tahini

We love tahini not only because it is extremely healthy but because it is so versatile. You can experiment with tahini  by blending it with your favorite veggies. We made 3 different versions as pictured here by adding in cilantro, beets and roasted red bell pepper.  

Ingredients for tahini:

  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Extra:

  • handful of cilantro
  • red bell pepper, roasted and peeled
  • 1 small beet, boiled and peeled

Instructions:

Combine Tahini ingredients with cilantro, beets or roasted red bell pepper in a blender until smooth. Serve with pita or challah bread.
