How should halva be stored?
One of the wonderful things about halva is that this healthy dessert has a long shelf-life. Much like peanut butter, it can safely be stored in the pantry at room temperature for a month or more. Halva’s natural oils will begin to separate in warm temperatures over time, so we recommend keeping your halva in the refrigerator where it will last for up to six months without becoming oily or losing its crumbly texture.
What flavors can I choose from?
We offer traditional flavors and modern takes on flavoring, such as whiskey, chocolate, Nutella, cappuccino, white chocolate raspberry, toasted coconut, to name just a few. Our options may surprise you!
Where is your halva produced?
We import our halva from a family-owned and operated bakery in Israel where our time-tested recipe and techniques have remained a sacred tradition that is followed to this day.
Are your products Kosher?
Yes, our products are certified kosher by UMKosher ( United Mehadrin Kosher) of Minnesota and Badatz Bet Yosef ( Israel).
What size of halva to order for a party?
Our full halva "cake" is 7 lb and it serves 40-45 people. If you have a party of 20 people, we recommend 3 lb of halva. It will come in slices that are cut from a loaf or whole cake.
How to serve halva?
The classic way to enjoy halva is with a hot drink (tea or coffee). You can slice halva into small cubes and serve as a light dessert, maybe arranged on a platter alongside some chocolate or fresh berries. Nowadays, of course, there are no limits in creativity. You can bake cookies and candies with halva, crumble over ice cream or pudding, put on a warm toast

I received my order but halva looks oily. What should I do?
The mail ingredient in halva is sesame which is very rich with natural oil. In warm weather halva and sesame tend to separate the oil and it is absolutely normal. It doesn't mean that it is spoiled. All you need to do is place halva in the refrigerator and it will reabsorb the oil and get the crispy and crumbly texture back. We also recommend to store halva in the refrigerator for super fresh texture and taste. We are putting our best effort in packaging halva in thermal wrap and providing cold packs to ensure the best possible condition during transportation in summer.
